And a tip for all TRUE riders: Nothing hurts worse than the ground, but it's not as bad if you get up laughing:)

**Jessie’s POV**
 
I woke up to my alarm going off and quickly sat up. It was six in the morning. I got dressed as I mapped out my complete plan for the day. I was going now to ride Sassy, then to see Johnny, and depending on how long that took, I would either be heading to the boys’ house for a bit or to pick up Mallory. After that Mallory was coming back to the barn for me to ride Mocha and Chance then I was taking her home and I was going home.
 
Once I was dressed and had gotten dressed and something to eat, I slid on my shoes and went out to my car to go to the barn. I got to the barn and decided to bring Sassy in first since her field was close to the barn. I led her into the barn after catching her and put her in the cross ties before going to grab my stuff. After I had gotten my stuff, I came back out and brushed the big chestnut and tacked her up.
 
Just as Jackie walked in with a couple horses that went out in the field by her house, I was getting on Sassy in the middle of the large indoor arena. Once the horses were in their stalls, Jackie came into the ring and said “Let’s see what kind of horse we have today.” I smiled and started to trot. Sassy was actually ok and we got to talk about possibly showing her soon. I quickly took care of her and turned her back out before leaving to go see Johnny at the hospital.
 
The drive to the hospital wasn’t very long and pretty soon I was standing in the doorway to Johnny’s room. I took a deep breath and walked in, sitting down in a chair next to the bed. I look at him for a minute, then reached my hand forward to move a piece of hair that had fallen out of place. Then I did what I always did, started to talk to him.
 
“You know Johnny, you’re really testing my ability to keep calm about this. I miss you and I need you to wake up.” Of course there was no response and I felt a tear run down my cheek as I began to speak again “I know you also know that if you don’t wake up before the weekend, you’ll be missing some football games. I can’t cheer for you if you’re not playing.” I looked out the window for a minute before attempting to wipe some of the tears off my face and returning my gaze to him as I started to speak again “Ally misses having her boyfriend around. Both of us know that, and I know she’s come to visit you and has told you that. Everyone misses you.”
 
I paused for a moment, but still nothing happened. I shook my head and continued “I heard Mallory was here a couple days ago. She told me you were doing better, we’re even doing something later today. She probably didn’t tell you about her boyfriend, did she? If she asks how you found out, it wasn’t me.” I smiled a bit about the thought of me knowing Mallory had a boyfriend before he even knew and how mad he would normally be. For the next couple hours I sat there talking to him, hoping something would wake him up. I talked to him about sports, riding, and a couple other things. I left out One Direction completely, didn’t feel that’s what I wanted to tell him today.
 
Once those couple hours were up, I slowly started to get up saying “Bye Johnny. Maybe I’ll come sometime later this week instead of waiting til next Monday.” I walked out of the room wiping my face of any free roaming tears, and pulled out my phone. I had a couple texts from Jordan and Casey asking if I was coming to the boys’ house. I sighed. There was still about four hours til I had to pick up Mallory, I guess I was going.
 
As I walked outside I texted Jordan, not Casey, back saying I was coming. I got in my car and started to slowly make my way to the boys’ house. I took my time, but it was still a short drive, I didn’t exactly want to hang out with all them today. I would probably leave kinda early to go get Mallory. I walked up to the door and knocked. The door was opened by a familiar girl, I just couldn’t think of how. She looked at me for a second and said “You must be Jessie.” I nodded and asked “You’re Louis’s girlfriend right?” she nodded and smiled as she said “Yes. My name’s Eleanor.” I nodded and said “Hi.” As I stepped into the house and she closed the door and led me to the living room where everyone else was.
 
I looked around and saw Harry and Casey sitting on one couch, Jordan and Niall in a chair, and Eleanor sat down on the other couch next to Louis. I spotted Zayn on the floor and chose to sit down beside him. After I sat down Zayn said “Surprised you actually came.” I shrugged and said “Have nothing else to do for the next three hours.” He shook his head, and smiled a bit.
 
For the next three hours we all just sat around and talked. I found out that Liam and Danielle had gone out, that’s why they were not present at the moment. I also got a couple complaints from Casey when she found out that she had not been the one told that I was coming over. Jordan and I had just shrugged and I told her “It’s a cousin thing.” She gave me and exasperated sigh then dropped the subject.
 
When I got up to leave, Zayn also got up, insisting that he walk me to the door. I let him and when we got there he asked “You really can’t stay?” I shook my head and said “No. I promised to do something with Mallory and still have to ride two more.” He sighed and opened the door. I walked out and got into my Jeep. I looked up just as I was about to pull out and saw Zayn still standing at the doorway, watching me.
 
I turned my attention away from him and pulled out. I got to Mallory’s school a couple minutes before she got out so I sat and waited. I knew Mallory would still have her phone anyways and texted her, telling her I was here. Of course, I got a response back pretty quickly saying she would see me in a couple minutes.
 
I heard the bell ring and watched students come walking out of classrooms. Then I remembered Mallory had a boyfriend that I had not met and quickly texted her saying to bring him over so I could meet him. she didn’t text me back but a couple minutes later I saw Mallory walking towards me with a boy. I smiled as they walked up and Mallory shook her head a little before saying “Jessie, this is my boyfriend Tommy. Tommy this is Jessie.”
 
He looked at me for a moment, probably trying to guess how I was connected to Mallory before saying “Nice to meet you.” I smiled and said “I’m one of her older brother’s best friends.” He nodded and said “So I should be making a good impression.” I nodded and laughed a little. After a couple more minutes he had to go, giving Mallory a quick kiss. As she got into the passenger seat she gave me one look before saying “Nothing needs to be said.” I laughed and said “I liked the kid.” She put on her sunglasses as she said “It’s not you I’m worried about.”
 
After getting something to eat we headed to the barn. I had brought Mallory to the barn a couple times before and she had been to a couple shows that Johnny had come to so she wasn’t a stranger to this. I talked to her as I tacked Chance up and she walked beside me as I rode him to the ring and took a spot on the rail to watch. After I hacked him and finished taking care of him, I moved on to Mocha. He was also good and after helping Jackie turn out a few, we got back in my Jeep to go home. Before we left I checked my phone. There was a text from Jordan, Casey, and surprisingly Zayn. I quickly read all off them and texted them back. Mallory had apparently been looking over my shoulder cause once I put my phone down she asked “Zayn Malik, as in One Direction, Zayn Malik.” I nodded and said “Also my date to the premiere on Friday.” I heard Mallory gasp and say “No way.” I nodded as I drove and said “I can’t believe it either.”
 
After dropping Mallory off I went home. I quickly showered and went to bed. It had been a long day and I was ready for some much needed sleep.
